Orange and Yellow Alerts in Telangana – Farmers Should Be Prepared
IMD has issued the following alerts in Telangana from March 21 to March 24:
Orange Alert (Severe Weather Warning) for districts including Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Warangal, and Hanamkonda. Farmers in these regions should take urgent precautions.
Yellow Alert (Moderate Risk) for other districts, predicting thunderstorms and strong winds.
The Telangana government has urged farmers to protect their crops and livestock and avoid working in open fields during thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms in West Bengal – Heavy Rains Expected
IMD has issued an Orange Alert for Gangetic West Bengal, including Kolkata and surrounding areas, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Farmers should brace for heavy rainfall and possible crop damage.

March 22 – Thunderstorms and lightning to persist in Eastern India (Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal).
